This week, I moderate our first ever panel discussion format – on the subject of child abuse from the perspective of the legal system, the medical profession, the schools and the family.
My expert panelists are Jill Starishevsky, Assistant District Attorney and author of My Body Belongs to Me, Dr. Ingrid Walker-Descartes, attending pediatrician and child abuse specialist at the distinguished Maimonedes Infants and Children’s Hospital in NY, and Connie Hammer, school social worker and founder of The Progressive Parent.
Between them, they have more than 60 years experience dealing with the victims of child abuse with much insight and practical advice to offer parents and caregivers. We also have a call-in from Intuaction/AdvocacyPro, which designs case management systems for victim advocates, crisis counselors and clinics as well as interactive tools for parents.
